Conservation Status: Near Threatened
The ornate hawk-eagle is known for its beautiful, colorful plumage and
its long, black-feathered crest (a characteristic of most species of
hawk-eagle). Males, females, and immature (young) birds of this species
all have a crest. What a hairstyle!
